Katie Woznicki

Katie Woznicki is a Cleveland-born multi-media artist who hasbeen living and working in Belgrade, Serbia since 2007. Sincethen, she has been an active contributor to the undergroundart scene in the region. She is a member of the Art Brut Serbiaassociation, an organization dedicated to outsider andmarginal artists in the region. Her drawings are a result of anautomatic unconscious process, usually depicting dark themeswith bright and vibrant colors.Woznicki has contributed drawings and paintings to variousexhibitions and collections, including the group exhibition”Dream Catchers” in the Museum of Contemporary Art inZagreb, Croatia (2020) and in the Museum of Naive andOutsider Art in Jagodina, Serbia (2023) and “Raw Intuitive” the third triennial ofmarginal art in the Museum of Naive and Outsider Art in Jagodina, Serbia.In recent years, she has dedicated herself to her art-popproject, Dodola, which features moving chord progressions,catchy and often melancholic melodies, warm analogueelectric sounds and Wozncki’s uniquely expressive voice.She is also a member of the post-dystopian micro-pop duoE-P-P!, which creates twisted advertising jingles, which wasselected to represent Serbia in the EuroNoise competition inLondon, a parody of the Eurosong contest, in which theyplaced 4th. Also, she has an alter-ego named MC Kopy Kat,which started as a joke and accidentally became anunderground feminist icon. She has been performingthroughout the Balkans and Europe with her projects forover a decade.
