Satya Pene

Satya Pene, born in 1995 in Ljubljana, lives and works in Ljubljana. She completed her undergraduate studies in 2020, at the Faculty of Education, majoring in Art Pedagogy, in the field of ceramics under the mentorship of prof. Mirko Bratuša. From 2017 to 2019 she was a demonstrator in the subjects Basics of Ceramics and Creative Ceramics, under the mentorship of prof. Mirko Bratuša. In 2019 she went on an exchange to Austria at the Kunstuniversität Linz, where she started working with porcelain under the mentorship of prof. mag. Ingrid Smolle. Her research led her to an interest in space and the relationships that are created in it. She observes and analyzes relationships in nature, the environment and society. Despite working primarily in the medium of ceramics, she tries to look beyond the boundaries of classical sculpture. In her work she connects different art fields and materials. She is continuing her postgraduate studies at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design, majoring in Ceramics.
