Špela Senica

Špela Senica je rojena v Mariboru 18. junija 1999. Z vizualnim ustvarjanjem je v stiku že od
malega. Na OŠ Bratov Polančičev je prejela Prešernovo nagrado za učence za likovna dela.
Hkrati je obiskovala glasbeno šolo. Šolanje je nadaljevala na Srednji šoli za oblikovanje Maribor,
smer Grafično oblikovanje in bila na dijaški izmenjavi v Milanu, kjer se je učila grafične
umetnosti. Svoja likovna in grafična dela je predstavila na samostojni razstavi Primum unum v
Mladinskem centru Velenje. V tem času je bila dejavna pri različnih projektih in je oblikovala
designe za desko Relax Crew Skateco, razstavljala je na Festivalu oblikovanja Maribor,
oblikovala je osebno znamko Mala tržnica Maribor in samostojno je razstavljala v Studiu 12:22 v
GT22 v Mariboru z razstavo Au (zlato). Po maturi je bila sprejeta Akademiji za likovno umetnost
in oblikovanje v Ljubljani, ampak, ker je opravila sprejemne izpite tudi na Umetniški univerzi
Linz, se je odločila za študij Grafičnega oblikovanja in fotografije v Avstriji. Trenutno aktivno
sodeluje z umetniki in samostojno. Imela je samostojno razstavo Doreja v spletni galeriji Media
Nox Mladinskega centra Maribor, Pop-up razstavo s Tjašo Križnar / Pirate piška v Centru za
kreativnost (CzK) v Mariboru in samostojno razstavo ilustracij Jazz na festivalu Jazz ima mlade.

Špela Senica was born on 18 th of June 1999 in Maribor. She has been in contact with the art
since her young age. At the elementary school of Bratov Polančičev she received a prize for fine
arts (Prešeren's Award for Primary School). At the same time, she attended a music school. She
continued her education at the Secondary School of Design Maribor where she graduated in
Graphic Design and was on a Milan student exchange studying graphic arts. She presented her
visual and graphic works at the independent exhibition “Primum unum” at the gallery eMCe
plac of Youth Centre Velenje. During this time, she was active in various projects such as she
made a design for the Relax Crew Skateco board, she exhibited at the Design Festival Maribor,
she designed the personal post stamp of “Mala tržnica” Maribor and independently exhibited in
Studio 12:22 at GT22 in Maribor with exhibition title “Au” (the gold). After she has graduated at
the secondary school, she was accepted at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana,
but because she also passed the entrance examination at the University of Art and Design Linz,
she decided to study Graphic Design and Photography in Austria. At the present time, she
works independently as well as collaborate with others. She had an independent exhibition
“Doreja” at online gallery Media Nox of Youth Cultural Centre Maribor, Pop-up exhibition with
Tjaša Križnar/Pirate piška at Centre for Creativity (CzK) in Maribor and an independent
exhibition of illustrations titled “Jazz” at the festival “Jazz has youth” in Maribor.
