Vizualna poezija je poezija za oko, kjer sta, namesto na besedah, poudarek in pomen na njeni vizualni naravi. Razstava finske vizualne poezije predstavlja podzvrsti vizualne poezije, kot so asemično pisanje, konceptualna poezija in konkretna poezija. Dela so pogosto mešanica poezije, vizualne umetnosti in grafičnega oblikovanja.
Vizualna narava del jim omogoča prečkanje meja branja in jih odpira za medkulturno interpretacijo. Začetki vizualne poezije segajo v zgodnje 20. stoletje in avantgardo.

Predstavljeni umetniki:
Mikael Brygger, Lauri Hei, Arja Karhumaa, Tiina Lehikoinen, Sami Liuhto, Anja Reponen, Ilkka Juhani Takalo-Eskola.

Več o avtorjih in kulturi vizualne poezije in avtorjih razstave pa bo moč izvedeti v sklopu dogodka

Finnish visual poetry exhibition
The exhibition will take place at the public buses multimedia screens between 11th and 15th November

Visual poetry is poetry for the eye where the focus and meaning of words, sometimes instead of them, is on their visual nature. SPARKS – Finnish visual poetry showcases many sub-genres of visual poetry such as asemic writing, conceptual poetry and concrete poetry. The works are often hybrids between poetry, visual art and graphic design.
Because of the works’ visual nature, they cross boundaries of reading and are open for interpretation, even between cultures. The origins of visual poetry hail from the early 1900’s and the avant-garde. Since it’s conception and from being a very marginal artform, it has grown to be a well-regarded genre of poetry. Introduction of digital art has opened new possibilities for exploring the eternal relationship between word and image and newer forms of sound and movement, too.

Artists: Mikael Brygger, Lauri Hei, Arja Karhumaa, Tiina Lehikoinen, Sami Liuhto, Anja Reponen, Ilkka Juhani Takalo-Eskola
